Spinning & Weaving: A Wool Workshop with Tereza
Here in Svalbard, wool is not a luxury. It is what keeps us warm on the trail, out on the ice, and through the long polar night. Yet few of us ever see the journey it takes before it reaches our shoulders.
In this workshop, Tereza invites us to slow down and return to the roots of the craft. Together we will card, blend and spin raw wool into yarn, letting the steady rhythm of our hands quiet the mind. Then we move to small looms and weave a bracelet or band from the very yarn we made.
You will go home with something simple and warm, made entirely by your own hands.
Tereza, a mom of two energetic boys, finds her calm in that journey. She works with wool from beginning to end, turning raw fleece into yarn and, eventually, into woven scarves and pieces for everyday life.
